Based on the classical laminated plate theory and Rayleigh-Ritz method, an analytic solution for buckling load was obtained for a symmetrically laminated composite rectangular plate under parabolic variation of axial load. The influence of plate aspect ratio and fiber orientation has been investigated. Some numerical result are presented as well.
