The author presents a method for the evaluation of effective elastic moduli of composites with random spherical coated fillers. It is shown that Eshelby's equivalent inclusion method is still applicable in this case for the prediction of macroscopic elastic properties. The method developed by the author almost coincides with the results obtained by using a closed form solution for the overall shear modulus.
