Verf. löst im Anschluß an \textit{B. Dutt} (Bulletin Calcutta M. S. 10 (1919), 43-61; F. d. M. 47, 766 (JFM 47.0766.*) und \textit{Jeffery} (Philos. Transactions (A) 221 (1920), 265-273; F. d. M. 47, 738) durch Reihenentwickelung die obige Gleichung und wendet das Ergebnis an auf die Durchbiegung einer schweren Platte, die von nichtkonzentrischen Kreisen begrenzt ist.
