Eine schwere schmale Kette gehe reibungslos über eine Rolle. Verf. errechnet den Unterschied der Spannungen der Kette in den beiden letzten Berührungspunkten und erhält \(m \pi a\dot v\), wenn \(m\) die (konstante) lineare Dichte der Kette, \(a\) den Radius der Rolle, \(v\) die Geschwindigkeit der Kette bezeichnet. Ferner behandelt Verf. verschiedene ähnliche Fragestellungen.
