``Kommen in der Zyklendarstellung einer Gruppe \(G\) der Zyklus \((a_1 \dots a_k)\) und seine konjugierten insgesamt \(l>0\) mal vor, so hat \(G\) die Ordnung \(k-l\).'' Dieses bei Netto (J. f. M. 103, 323 (1888)) vorkommende Theorem wird vom Verf. -- in Fortführung einer früheren Arbeit (American J. 44, 122-128 (1922), vgl. F. d. M. 48, 1147 (JFM 48.1147.*)) -- zur Untersuchung verschiedener Gruppen benutzt, insbesondere der Gruppen vom Grade 4 und 5, sowie der Zahlengruppen (mod. \(p^m\)).
