Um die mehrfache Reihe \[ \sum m_1^{\alpha_1-1}m_2^{\alpha_2-1}\cdot\cdot m_{p+q}^{\alpha{p+q}-1}f\left(\left| M_{1,p}- M_{p+1,p+q}\right| \right) \] zu behandeln, wobei \[ \begin{aligned} &M_{1,p}=a_1m_1^c+a_2m_2^c+\cdots+a_pm_p^c, \\ M_{p+1,p+q}=a_{p+1}&m_{p+1}^c+a_{p+2}m_{p+2}^c+\cdots+a_{p+q}m_{p+q }^c\;(c,a_\nu>0) \end{aligned} \] und die Summation über sämtliche positive ganze \(m_\nu\) (mit eventueller Ausschließung von gewissen Werten) zu erstrecken ist, betrachtet der Verf. das Integral \[ (*)\;K=\int x_1^{\alpha_1-1}x_2^{\alpha_2-1}\cdots x_{p+q}^{\alpha_{p+q}-1} f(| X_{1,p}-X_{p+1,p+q}| )\cdot dx_1dx_2\dots dx_{p+q}, \] wo analog wie vorher \[ \begin{aligned} X_{1,p}&=a_1x_1^c+a_2x_2^c+\cdots+a_px_p^c, \\ X_{p+1,p+q}&=a_{p+1}x_{p+1}^c+a{p+2}x_{p+2}^c+\cdots+a_{p+q}x_{p+q} ^c \end{aligned} \] ist und die Integration sich auf positive Werte von \(x\) bezieht. Die Funktion \(f(t)\) ist hier, wie oben summabel über das Intervall \(0\leqq t<\infty\) und nirgends negativ. Man erhält das folgende Resultat: Das Integral (*) ist jedenfalls konvergent, wenn \[ \alpha_\nu>0,\;\alpha=\sum_{\nu=1}^{p+q}\alpha_\nu<c \] ist, und das Integral \[ J=\int_0^\infty t^{\frac \alpha c-1}f(t) dt \] konvergiert. Es ist alsdann \[ K=\frac{c^{-p-q}}{\pi}\Gamma(1-\frac ac)\left[\sin\frac{\alpha'\pi}{c}+\sin\frac{\alpha''\pi}{c}\right] J\prod_{\nu=1}^{p+q}a_\nu^{- \frac{a_\nu}{c}} \Gamma(\frac{a_\nu}{c})\left(\alpha'=\sum_{\nu=1}^p a_\nu;\;\alpha''=\sum_{\nu=p+1}^{p+q}a_\nu\right). \]
