    Ist \(\left(\frac{\omega_2}{2\pi}\right)^{12}\Delta(\omega_1,\omega_ 2)\) die bekannte Modulfunktion und \(r=e^{2i\omega},\omega=\frac{\omega_1}{\omega_2}\), \[ \left(\frac{\omega_2}{2\pi}\right)^{12}\Delta(\omega_1,\omega _2)=r\prod_{n=1}^\infty(1-r^n)^{24}=\sum_{n=1}^\infty T(n)r^n, \] so behauptet Ramanujan: \[ T(mn)=T(m)T(n),\quad (m,n)=1, \] \[ \sum_{n=1}^\infty \frac{T(n)}{n^s} =\prod_p \frac{1}{(1-T(p)p^{-s}+p^{11-2s})}\quad (p=\text{Primzahl}.) \] Glaisher hat die erste Gleichung bewiesen, der Verf. beweist die zweite.
