Sopra un' ipotesi del \textit{Pickering} relativa alla frequenza degli afeli delle orbite cometarie nelle vicinanze dell' antiapice. (Q1471774)

Verf. gibt die Ergebnisse seiner Untersuchung der \textit{Pickering}schen Hypothese wieder, ``according to which the solar system in its motion through space would be invested by a kind of wind from the apex towards the anti-apex, owing to the resistanze of the medium; it is this current that deviates the aphelia of the comets and causes them to accumulate towards the anti-apex''. Er untersucht analytisch die Störungen, welche eine solche Strömung verursachen wurde, und findet, daß\ die Aphelia der Kometenbahnen nicht nahe dem Antiapex, sondern längs eines größten Kreises, dessen Pole Apex und Antiapex sind, sich anhäufen müßten. Die Tatsache der Anhäufung der Kometen-Aphele um den Antiapex könnte also auf diese Art nicht erklärt werden. (Astr. Jahresb. 18, 306, 1916.)
