-- Arithmetik und Algebra: Principles of ordinary algebra (\textit{W. F. Sheppard}). -- Special kinds of algebra (\textit{G. B. Matthews}). -- Quaternions (\textit{P. G. Tait} and \textit{A. McAulay}. -- Vector Analysis (\textit{H. L. Lamb}). -- Series (\textit{A. E. Jolliffe}). -- Fraction, continued (\textit{Jolliffe}). -- Maxima and Minima (\textit{Jolliffe}). -- Logarithms (\textit{J. W. L. Glaisher}). -- Equation (\textit{A. Cayley}). -- Combinatorial analysis (Major \textit{P. A. MacMahon}). -- Numbers, Partition of (\textit{A. Cayley}). -- Algebraic forms (\textit{MacMahon}). -- Groups (\textit{W. Burnside}). -- Number (\textit{G. B. Matthews}). -- Interpolation und differences, finite (\textit{W. F. Sheppard}). -- Probability (\textit{F. Y. Edgeworth}, zum Teil nach \textit{N. Croftons} Artikel in der 9. Aufl. der Encycl. Brit. redigiert). -- Geometry, euclidean, projective, and descriptive (von \textit{O. Henrici}); analytical (nach \textit{A. Cayleys} Artikel in der 9. Aufl. redigiert von \textit{E. B. Elliot}). -- Line geometry (\textit{J. H. Grace}). -- Geometrical continuity (Rev. \textit{C. Taylor}).-- Non-euclidean Geometry (\textit{A. Aufl.).-- Axioms of geometry (\textit{A. N. Whitehead}; völlig neu). -- Curves (\textit{A. Cayley}, redigiert von \textit{E. B. Elliott}). -- Surface (\textit{A. Cayley} und J. und {F. Purser}) -- Trigonometry (\textit{E. W. Hobson}). -- Mensuration (\textit{W. F. Sheppard}). -- Infinitesimal calculus (\textit{A. E. H. Love}). -- Differential equations (\textit{H. F. Baker}). -- Variations, calculus of (\textit{A. E. H. Love}).-- Functions of real variables (\textit{A. E. H. Love}). -- Functions of complex variables (\textit{H. F. Baker}). -- \textit{Fourier}'s series and spherical harmonies (\textit{E. W. Hobson}). Angewandte Mathematik: Mechanics (\textit{H. Lamb}; völlig neu). -- Dynamics (\textit{H. Lamb}; analytische Mechanik). -- Motion, laws of (\textit{W. H. Macaulay}). -- Hydromechanics (Sir \textit{A. G. Greenhill}). -- Gyroscope (\textit{Greenhill}). -- Wave (\textit{H. Lamb}). -- Tides (Sir \textit{G. H. Darwin}). -- Earth, figure of the, and Geodesy (nach den Artikeln von Col. \textit{A. R. Clarke} in der 9. Aufl. neu redigiert von \textit{F. R Helmert}). Aufl.). Dagegen fehlt eine Biographie von \textit{K.Weierstraß , A. M. Legendre}, u. a. m. J.Thomson}). -- Molecule (\textit{J. H. Jeans}). -- Atom (\textit{F. H. Neville}). -- Gravitation (\textit{S. Newcomb} und \textit{J. H. Poynting}). -- Elasticity (\textit{A. E. H. Love}). -- Strength of materials (\textit{J. A. Henker}). -- Aberration (\textit{O. Eppenstein}).-- Diffraction of light und interference of light (\textit{Rayleigh}). -- Polarization of light and refraction, double, and crystallography (\textit{J. Walker}). -- Absorption of light, colour, dispersion of light, fluorescence, calorescence, and phosphorescence (\textit{J. R Cotter}). -- Spectroscopy (\textit{A. Schuster}). -- Spectroheliograph (\textit{G. E. Hale}). -- Magneto-optics (\textit{J. J. Thomson}) -- Binocular instruments and microscope (\textit{O. Henker}). -- Stereoscope (\textit{C.
