Der Verf. nimmt die Behandlung einer Frage wieder auf, die von \textit{Segre} 1891 an \textit{H. Schubert} gestellt und von diesem beantwortet worden war (Hamb. Mitt. 3, 86-97; F. d. M. 24, 628, 1892, JFM 24.0628.01). Durch eine längere Betrachtung und mannigfache Rechnungen gelingt es dem Verf., die in dem angezogenen Referate auf S. 629 abgedruckte Schlußformel \textit{Schuberts} durch eine andere zu ersetzen, in der die Gliederanzahl genau die Hälfte von der der \textit{Schubert}schen ist, und deren zahlenmäßige Auswertung noch andere Vorteile bietet.
