Die Diskussion des Einflusses der im Titel genannten Molekularwirkungen auf die neben dem Dopplereffekt noch eintretende Verbreiterung der Spektrallinien hatte Verf. (Phil. Mag. (5) 27, 298 ff., 1889) und \textit{Godfrey} (Lond. Phil. Trans. (A) 195, 329 ff; F. d. M. 32, 819, 1901, JFM 32.0819.03) zu Resultaten geführt, die um 10 Proz. von einander abwichen. Die vorliegende Arbeit schlägt eine Korrektion der \textit{Godfrey}schen Rechnungen vor, die diese Differenz zu beseitigen bestimmt ist.
