Aus der Beziehung \[ 2 \gamma^{(IV)} (\omega_1)- \gamma^{(IV)} (\omega_2) -\gamma^{(IV)} (\omega_3)=\left( \frac{\pi}{2 \omega_1} \right)^6 . 16( \theta_3^{12}+\theta_2^{12} ) \] folgt leicht der bisher unbewiesene Satz von \textit{Liouville} über die Darstellung einer geraden Zahl als Summe von zwölf Quadraten. Für zehn Quadrate hat man analog die Beziehung \[ \left[ \theta_1 \theta_3\;\frac{\theta_3(\nu)}{\theta_1(\nu)} \right]_{\nu=0}^{(IV)} + \left[ \theta_2 \theta_3\;\frac{\theta_3(\nu)}{\theta_2(\nu)} \right]_{\nu=0}^{VI} + \theta_3^{(IV)} \theta_3 -3 \theta_3''^2)=\pi^4 \cdot 5 \theta_3^{10}; \] dabei sind \(\theta_1(\nu), \theta_2(\nu), \theta_3(\nu)\) Thetafunktionen mit den Charakteristiken \((1,0), (0, 1), (0,0)\).
