Durch eine Note von \textit{Osborn} (vergl. F. d. M. 26, 208, 1895, JFM 26.0208.04) über das \textit{Legendre}sche Symbol veranlaßt, dehnt Verf. dessen Gedankengang auf den Fall aus, daß\ man die Verteilung der Zahlen untersucht, für welche das \textit{Jacobi}sche Symbol \((\frac sP)\) gleich \(+1\) oder \(-1\) ist.
