Damit die \(n\) linearen Gleichungen \[ \sum_{k=1}^n a_{ik}x_k = k\sum_{k=1}^n b_{ik}x_k\qquad(i=1,\dots,n) \] für Werte der \(x_1\), ..., \(x_n\), die nicht sämtlich gleich Null, mit einander vereinbar sind, muss \(k\) der Bedingung \[ |a_{ik} - kb_{ik}| = 0 \] genügen. Verf. giebt einen einfachen Beweis für die Realität der Wurzeln dieser Gleichung, welche die bekannte Störungsgleichung als Specialfall umfasst.
