Herr Hermite hat gezeigt, dass, wenn \(p\) und \(q\) zwei doppeltperiodische Functionen von \(z\) sind und die Gleichung \[ y''+py'+qy=0 \] integrirt werden kann, man aus dieser Gleichung eine neue von derselben Form ableiten kann, die auch integrirbar ist. Herr Mittag-Leffler zeigt nun, dass aus der genannten Gleichung eine andere integrirbare hergeleitet werden kann, von welcher die Hermite'sche ein sehr specieller Fall ist.
