The note under review contains a continuation of the investigation of the second author about the \(3x+1\)-problem. The generalizations they consider are determined by a suitable \(d\)-periodic function \(h\) such that the map \[ T(x):=\frac{gx+h(gx)}{2^k}\in{\mathbb N} \] is well defined on the integers. The structure theorem in the title says that the trajectories of the exponents \(k\) consist of some arithmetic progressions. The proof is elementary. A consequence is that the probability distribution converges to a Wiener measure which seems to give some hints to expect that the generalized \((d,g,h)\)-conjecture could be true.
