Nonlinear dynamics and stability of a two D. O. F. elastic/elasto-plastic model system (Q1566988)

The authors study local and global nonlinear dynamics of a two-degree-of-freedom model system [\textit{M. J. Sewell}, J. Mech. Phys. Solids 1, 264-287 (1965)]. Namely, the authors reexamine the governing equation of linearly elastic Sewell's system, and investigate the weak excitation, parametric excitation by a follower force, and dynamic stability of elasto-plastic Sewell's system.
