The authors solve some problems concerning additive Darboux like functions. Main results: (1) Under the assumption that the union of less than continuum many meager sets of \({\mathbb R}\) is meager in \({\mathbb R}\), there exists an additive connectivity function \(f: {\mathbb R}\to {\mathbb R}\) with the Cantor intermediate value property which is not almost continuous. (2) There exists (in ZFC) an additive almost continuous function \(f\colon {\mathbb R}\to {\mathbb R}\) which has the strong Cantor intermediate value property but is not extendable. (See \textit{R. G. Gibson} and \textit{T. Natkaniec} [Real Anal. Exch. 22, No. 2, 492-533 (1996; Zbl 0942.26004)] for definitions and a context of the results.).
