Surface design using locally interpolating subdivision schemes (Q1567425)

The author constructs several non-uniform subdisivision schemes, that generate limit surfaces interpolating some of the original points only. This is done by applying a non-interpolatory subdivision scheme almost everywhere, except for areas around special control points where another local stencil is used. It is shown how to modify known subdivision schemes so that the limit surfaces generated by them interpolate given normal vectors at given interpolation points.
