The author studies certain classes of maps and their set-valued analogs. These maps are related as follows: harmonious \(\to\) point-harmonious \(\to\) tri-quotient \(\to\) transquotient \(\to\) stable \(\to\) hereditarily quotient, inductively perfect \(\to\) harmonious \(\to\) compact-covering, open \(\to\) point-harmonious, and closed \(\to\) stable. \{Note: Maps called ``harmonious'' (resp. ``point-harmonious'') in this paper are called ``compact-harmonious'' (resp. ``harmonious'') in the paper by \textit{M. Pillot} reviewed below.\} It is proved that a map between separable metric spaces is transquotient if and only if it is stable, and it is harmonious if and only if it is compact-covering. It is also proved that transquotient images of consonant spaces are consonant.
