    There are studied some properties of set functions with values in \([0,\infty]\). In the main theorem a function \(\mu\) is considered that is exhausting (\(\text{lim }\mu(E_n)= 0\) whenever \(E_n\) are disjoint) and null-additive (\(\mu(E\cup F)= \mu(E)\) whenever \(\mu(F)= 0\)). Such a function has the pseudometric-generating property (i.e., \(\forall\varepsilon> 0\) \(\exists\delta> 0:\max (\mu(E), \mu(F))< \delta\) implies \(\mu(E\cup F)< \varepsilon\)) if and only if it has the property \((s)\) (if \(\lim\mu(E_n)= 0\) then \(\mu(\limsup E_{n(k)})= 0\) for some subsequence \((E_{n(k)})_k\) of \((E_n)_n\)).
