The wave automaton is a numerical method that has been introduced to describe wave propagation in random media. The discrete lattice is used to model the structure of the medium, and only the Bravais lattices are considered. In such an anisotropic medium with two-dimensional hexagonal lattice, the wave equation is constructed, and wave field parameters are expressed in terms of the wave equation parameters. All this has been done in homogeneous medium, but the inhomogeneous medium is also considered, and the wave equation and the wave field parameters are obtained for the interface. To demonstrate the capacity of the anisotropic wave automaton, the circular particle immersed in a homogeneous isotropic medium is considered, and the scattering pattern from a plane wave is obtained. The results fit the known far-field pattern, obtained using Mie theory, quite well.
