Let \((M,\omega)\) be a compact symplectic manifold. \(\widetilde M\) be the blow-up of \(M\) at a smooth point. Denote by \(p:M\to M\) the natural projection. \(\Psi^M_A(\alpha_1,\dots, \alpha_m)\) is the genus zero Gromov-Witten invariant of \(M\). In this paper, we study the Gromov-Witten invariants of blow-ups at a smooth point and establish some relation between Gromov-Witten invariants of \(M\) and its blow-up \(\widetilde M\). Using the gluing formula of Gromov-Witten invariants for symplectic cutting, we prove the following theorems. Theorem 1: Suppose that \(A\in H_2(M)\), \(\alpha_i\in H^*(M)\), \(1\leq i\leq m\). Then, \(\Psi^M_A(\alpha_1,\dots, \alpha_m)= \Psi^{\widetilde M}_{p!(A)}(p^*\alpha_1,\dots, p^*\alpha_m)\), where \(p!(A)= PDp^*PD(A)\). Theorem 2: Suppose that \(A\in H_2(M)\), \(\alpha_i\in H^*(M)\), \(1\leq i\leq m\). Then, \(\Psi^M_A(\alpha_1,\dots, \alpha_m,[pt])= \Psi^{\widetilde M}_{p!(A)-e}(p^*\alpha_1,\dots, p^*\alpha_m)\), where \(e\) denotes the homology class of a line in the exceptional divisor. We also prove results similar to Theorem 1 for the blow-ups along smooth curves and special surfaces.
