Local index for arc symmetric sets (Q1568815)

The authors construct a local invariant for subanalytic arc symmetric sets which is equal to the local Euler obstruction in the complex analytic case. The construction of such an invariant does not simply follow by an alteration of the construction in the complex case since in the real case there is not any canonical orientation. In order to have a canonical orientation the authors define an oriented Nash transform. The main tool for the construction of the Euler index is the Łojasiewicz equitriangulation theorem.
