Let \((\Omega ,\Sigma)\) be a measurable space, \(M\) a weakly compact subset of a Banach space \(X\), \(f:\Omega\times M\to M\) and \(T:\Omega\times M\to 2^{M}\) random operators. The main result of this note gives sufficient conditions for the existence of a random coincidence point of \(T\) and \(f\), i.e., a measurable mapping \(\xi:\Omega\to M\) such that \(f(\omega ,\xi (\omega))\in T(\omega ,\xi (\omega))\) for all \(\omega\in\Omega\). The authors assume that \(M\) is star-shaped, \(f\) is a continuous affine random operator, \(T\) is compact-valued, commutes with \(f\) and satisfies \[ H(T(\omega ,x),T(\omega ,y))\leq \|f(\omega ,x) - f(\omega ,y)\|,\qquad x,y\in M, \;\omega\in\Omega , \] where \(H\) is the Hausdorff metric induced by the norm of \(X\), and some other conditions. The main theorem extends some random fixed point theorems for multivalued random operators.
