This is a review of some methods and algorithms for solving systems of linear Diophantine equations in nonnegative integers that appeared during the last decade. Also a method for the determination of the consistency of such systems and its generalization to systems of linear inequalities are given. If the system is consistent then the method also produces at least one solution.
