The author considers a viscous system of conservation laws \[ u_t+f(u)_x=\mu u_{xx}, \] with \(f\in C^3({\mathbb{R}}^n,{\mathbb{R}}^n)\), \(\mu>0\) and proves time-asymptotic stability of a small Laxian shock wave \(u=\phi(x-st)\) associated with a simple eigenvalue \(\lambda\) of \(f'\) under sufficiently small perturbation of an initial data \(u_0\). The author extends the result earlier established by \textit{A. Szepessy} and \textit{Z. Xin} [Arch. Ration. Mech. Anal. 122, No. 1, 53-103 (1993; Zbl 0803.35097)] to the case of nonconvex modes and the previous own result in [J. Differ. Equations 146, No. 1, 185-202, Art. No.DE983431 (1998; Zbl 0921.35106)] to the case of nonzero mass perturbations (when \({\int (u_0(x)-\phi(x))dx}\) doesn't necessarily vanish).
