Numerical solution of the problems of scattering by Platonic bodies in the classes of functions invariant under symmetry transformations (Q1571214)

The authors present an algorithm for the numerical solution of boundary equations for scalar and vector problems of scattering from Platonic bodies in the class of equations whose right-hand sides are invariant under symmetry transformations. These algorithms are optimal with respect to the number of operations. It is shown that the formalism of the geometrical analysis of Fourier-invariant operators constructed for Platonic bodies can be directly extended to the bodies with discontinuously acting noncommutative group of symmetries.
