The authors have modeled the processes in a gas that is ideal in a sense of statistical thermodynamics. Under nonequilibrium conditions, the formation of most probable distributions occurs during limited time intervals and is subject to the general conservation laws and additional linear constraints. An analysis of the application of the method entropy maximization to gases consisting of different species under arbitrary linear constraints is presented. Ref. 14 in number
