Domain decomposition method for the problem of bending heterogeneous plate (Q1571280)

This paper is devoted to the domain decomposition method for solving a set of linear equations that arise when a finite element method is applied to the plate bending problem with discontinuous coefficients. The algorithmic complexity of the method allows to solve individual problems with natural boundary conditions and Dirichlet problems for the subdomains. The rate of convergence of the iterative method depends only weakly on the mesh size and the scatter of coefficients.
