This work is concerned with the mixed boundary value problem for a transversely isotropic half-space. The axis of transverse isotropy is chosen as \(z\)-axis. It was shown earlier that the field quantities can be determined in terms of four functions \(F_i(x,y,z_i)\), \(i=1,2,3,4\), satisfying harmonic equations in \(x,y,z_i\), where \(z_i=s_iz\) are stretched coordinates in \(z\)-direction, and \(s_i\) are constants depending on material coefficients. Employing the fundamental solution corresponding to a concentrated force and an electric charge at a given point on the half-space, the authors show that the solution of the mixed boundary value problem can be reduced to the solution of three integral equations in the half-space. The method is applied to determine stress and electric displacement intensity factors associated with a penny-shaped crack on the plane \(z=0\), and to the indentation of the half-space by rigid flat circular punch.
