The authors apply a model of finite viscoelasticity and propose an identification technique to represent the dynamic properties of polymers. The model is based on a multiplicative splitting of deformation gradient into thermal and mechanical part. The constitutive equations are based on the concept of discrete relaxation spectra transfered to finite strains. In addition, the authors study a second model which is based on fractional calculus and corresponds to a continuous relaxation spectrum. They also determine material constants of the finite strain model.
