On a generic class of regular one-parametric variational inequalities (Q1574532)

The author extends the concepts of generalized critical point, critical point, nondegenerate critical point as well as of the four generic singularities of one-parametric optimization problems, introduced by H. Th. Jongen, P. Jonker and F. Twilt, to the case of one-parametric variational inequalities. It is shown that the class of one-parametric variational inequalities with such four types of singularities is open and dense with respect to the strong Whitney topology in an appropriate context. A linear quadratic perturbation theorem in order to get almost always (in the sense of Lebesgue) a one-parametric variational inequality of the mentioned class is proved.
