The properties of a novel 5-dimensional Kaluza-Klein-like metric are investigated. The metric, although regular, undergoes a signature change on two 4-dimensional hypersurfaces, simulating a wormhole solution. Singularities on these hypersurfaces have properties somewhat similar to electric charges.
