    This article deals with Ishikawa approximations \[ x_{n+1}= (1- \alpha_n) x_n+ \alpha_n(f- Tx_n),\quad y_n= (1- \beta_n) x_n+ \beta_n(f- Tx_n) \] for approximation of the unique solution \(x_*\) to the equation \(x+ Tx=f\) with Lipschitzian continuous and accretive operator \(T\) on an arbitrary Banach space \(X\). The main result is the theorem about strong convergence of \(x_n\) to \(x_*\) under the following assumptions: (a) \(0\leq \alpha_n\), \(\beta_n< 1\); (b) \(\lim_{n\to\infty} \alpha_n= 0\), \(\lim_{n\to\infty} \beta_n= 0\); (c) \(\sum^\infty_{n=1} \alpha_n= \infty\); in particular, if \(\alpha_n= {2n\over (1+n)^2}\) then \(\|x_n- x_*\|= O({1\over n})\). A similar result for the equation \(Tx= f\) is also presented.
