This paper deals with an algorithm which is based on the evolution of the continuous spectrum of the solution of the heat equation. The authors define the history part of the solution, \(U_H\) and they introduce a new algorithm for its rapid evaluation. The basis for this algorithm is that \(U_H\) is smooth and well approximated using a small number of Fourier modes.
