An extension of Clifford algebras, which is related to \(n\)-ary linear forms, called generalized Clifford algebras (GCA), is used as a starting point to develop the theory of fractional supersymmetry. These GCAs are related to \(q\)-deformation where \(q\) is a root of unity. A local action is derived and shown to be equivalent with such actions derived previously by different means in the literature.
