Asymptotic expressions are obtained for the solutions to the following ordinary differential equation with three turning points \[ {d^2y\over dx^2}+ [\lambda^2 q_1(x)+\lambda q_2(x, \lambda)] y= 0, \] with \(q_1(x)= (x- \mu_1)(x- \mu_2)(x- \mu_3) f(x)\), \(f(x)\neq 0\), \(\mu_1< \mu_2< \mu_3\), \(q_2(x, \lambda)= \sum^\infty_{i= 0} g_i(x) \lambda^{- i}\), \(g_0(x)\neq 0\), and \(\lambda\) is a large parameter. The method employed is essentially that of R. E. Langer.
