The result proven by Kolmogorov and Seliverstov and, independently, by Plessner in 1925 asserts that the trigonometric series \(a_0/2+\sum _{n=1}^\infty a_n\cos nx+b_n\sin nx\) converges almost everywhere provided \(\sum_{n=1}^\infty (|a_n|^2+|b_n|^2)\ln n<\infty.\) After Carleson's proof of Lusin's conjecture in 1966 this result has lost its importance, but its generalization to arbitrary orthogonal series, 1929, due to Kaczmarz is of importance till now. In the paper under review the author extends these results to the case of very general nonorthogonal systems of functions.
