The author considers initial-boundary value problems for the Cahn-Hilliard equation and the phase field system, representing a singular perturbation of that equation. Both problems possess a maximal attractor; the aim of the paper is to study relationships between these attractors. In particular, the upper-semicontinuity of the attractor of the phase field system (for the null perturbation parameter) is proved.
