The authors study a class of double eigenvalue hemivariational inequalities with constraint on a sphere-like type manifold. Using in an essential manner the symmetry of the associated energy functional, the authors deduce the existence of infinitely many solutions. The approach is variational and it is essentially based on a variant of the celebrated Ljusternik-Schnirelman theorem. The paper offers an interesting point of view for the treatment of eigenvalue inequality problems on infinite dimensional spaces. The methods developed by the authors can be applied to wider classes of nonlinear eigenvalue problems, such as semilinear elliptic equations or variational-hemivariational inequalities.
