A linear reaction-diffusion system of the activator-inhibitor type is done on a domain \(\Omega \subset {\mathbb R}^ m\). A certain nonlocal and implicit unilateral boundary condition (making the problem nonlinear) is considered on a part of its boundary \(\Gamma_{U}\) while on the remaining parts \(\Gamma_{D}\) and \(\Gamma_N\) the homogeneous Dirichlet and Neumann conditions are assumed, respectively. For a couple \(d^{0}\) of positive diffusion coefficients belonging to the boundary of the domain of stability to the corresponding problem with the homogeneous Neumann condition on \(\Gamma_N \cup \Gamma_U\) and such that there is a stationary solution to this linear problem whose second component is on \(\Gamma_U\) greater than a positive constant, the nonstability of the trivial solution of the unilateral problem on some neighbourhood of \(d^{0}\) is proved. The interesting result is well presented.
