The paper provides a description of a problem of airborne gravimetry and some results of its solution obtained in the navigation and control laboratory of the Department of Mathematics and Mechanics of Moscow State University. The problem consists in precise determination of specific gravity force along the flight trajectory of an aircraft basing on the gravimeters and navigation satellite and inertial systems data. The description is provided in terms of mechanics. The accuracy of solution meets the modern requirements which is confirmed by the results of the test flights.
