The elementary partial product \(P(X,O,Z)\) [\textit{B.~A.~Pasynkov}, Trans. Mosc. Math. Soc. 13, 153-271 (1967); translation from Trudy Moskov. Mat. Obshch. 13, 136-245 (1965; Zbl 0147.41303)] is called \(R\)-factored, if for any continuous function \(f: P(X,O,Z)\to I=[0,1]\) a functionally open set \(U\subseteq O\) and a continuous function \(\widetilde f: P(X,U,Z)\to I\) exist such that \(f=\widetilde f\circ p_{OU_i}\). The main result of the paper is: If the elementary partial product \(P(X,O,Z)\) is \(R\)-factored, then the inequality \(\dim P(X,O,Z)\leq \dim X\times Z\) is satisfied. The author sets out various sufficient conditions of \(R\)-factorability of partial products.
