Possible dimensions of the groups of holomorphic automorphisms \(\Aut(D)\) of hyperbolic Reinhardt domains \(D\subset \mathbb{C}^n\) are listed. It is shown that either \(n\leq\dim \Aut(D)\leq n^2+2\) or \(\dim \Aut(D)=n^2+2n\), the latter case being corresponding to the domains that, up to dilations of coordinates, are the unit ball of \(\mathbb{C}^n\); besides, \(\dim \Aut(D)\) is even if and only if \(n\) is. A complete classification of domains with the dimensions \(n^2\) and \(n^2+2\) is given. The remaining dimensions are shown to split into two sets: the ``bad'' and ``good'' ones. There are uncountably many non-equivalent domains with ``bad'' dimensions that cannot be classified in a reasonable way. ``Good'' dimensions correspond to domains with non-compact automorphism groups and hopefully can be classified; for \(C^1\)-smooth domains a description is given in [\textit{A. V. Isaev} and \textit{S. G. Krantz}, Ill. J. Math. 41, No. 3, 412-420 (1997; Zbl 0879.32002)]. It is also shown that the number of ``bad'' dimensions behaves asymptotically as \({n^2\over 2}\) when \(n\to\infty\), so they give the main contribution. On the other hand, \[ \liminf_{n\to \infty} {\#\{ \text{``good'' dimensions\}} \over n}\geq 1. \] Numerical computations for the numbers of ``bad'' and ``good'' domains are given.
