Versal deformations of formal arcs (Q1584719)

Let \(X\) be a complex algebraic variety and \(\gamma: D= \text{Spec }{\mathbb C}[[t]] \to X\) be a formal arc not contained in \(\text{Sing}(X)\). The authors prove that a formal neighbourhood \({\mathcal L}(X)_\gamma\) in the space of arcs \({\mathcal L}(X)\) is isomorphic to the product of countably many copies of \(D\) with the formal neighbourhood \(Y_y\) of a closed point \(y\) in some scheme \(Y\) of finite type over \(\mathbb C\).
