The author introduces a new type of finite element method, called CEM (composite element method), which is proposed to solve static and dynamic problems of engineering structures with high accuracy and efficiency. This numerical technique is developed by combining conventional finite element method and classical analytical theory. Many examples are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of CEM.
