Nonlinear fourth-order nonlinear differential equations with solutions in the form of transcendents (Q1586691)

The author deals with two hierarchies of ODEs that have the form \[ d^{n+1}(u)= {z\over 2},n=1,2,\dots,\quad \text{and} \quad\left({d\over dz}+2v \right)d^n(v_z-v^2) -zv=\alpha, \] where the operator \(d^n\) is determined by the Lenard relation \[ {d\over dz}d^{n+1} =d^n_{zzz} +2ud_z^n+2u_zd^n, \quad d^0= {1\over 2},d^1=u. \] He gives relations among these hierarchies. Moreover, he finds rational and special solutions to one hierarchy.
