Summary: The authors investigate the problem of peristaltic transport in a cylindrical tube through a porous medium, and obtain an perturbation solution which satisfies the momentum equation for small amplitude ratio. The results show that the mean axial velocity of the fluid phase increases with increase in the permeability parameter. The phenomenon of reflux is discussed, and numerical results are reported for various values of physical parameters.
