The generalized Whittaker functions for \(SU\)(2,1) and the Fourier expansion of automorphic forms (Q1587876)

[See the review of the full version in J. Math. Sci., Tokyo 6, 477-526 (1999; Zbl 0999.11028).] The explicit form of the Fourier expansion of automorphic forms plays an important role in the theory. Here we investigate the case of \(SU(2,1)\) and give an explicit formula of generalized Whittaker functions for the standard representations of the group. Together with a result of \textit{H. Koseki} and \textit{T. Oda} [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 31, 959-999 (1995; Zbl 0867.11039)], we obtain a form of fully developed Fourier expansion of automorphic forms belonging to arbitrary standard representations.
